My daughter Samantha and I love the water. I was having a problem with my headpiece falling off when I would play or jump in the water. So I came up with an idea to wrap Neptune in a bandana on the opposite side of the implant and run the wire inside and around to the headpiece. It is a really great way to hold Neptune, and I also fold the bandana down over the headpiece to secure it. Wearing Neptune this way gives me the freedom to jump, slide, and play as rough as I want to in the water—with no worries of Neptune or the headpiece falling off. Plus, it gets the wire completely out of the way so it never catches on anything.

Our daughter, Hannah Rose, has been using the Neptune processor since she was eight months old. Because of her age, we found someone who sews very colorful pockets onto the back of her outfits, so we don’t need to use clips. This keeps the processor small and more manageable for her size. And she looks stylish, to boot.

Jenna has had Advance Bionics cochlear implants since she was 10 months old. She has ALWAYS wanted to hear in the swimming pool and often became frustrated when playing with friends and family in the pool and couldn’t hear them. When we heard about the new Neptune processor, we knew we had to have it. And Jenna would not let us hear the end of it until we got it for her! Jenna is now seven years old and enjoying every minute of hearing with her Neptune! How did we ever do without it?!
